High School Teachers
High School Bible/Social Studies
Mr. Scott is one of our new teachers this year at FOA. He is a graduate of
UMBC (University of Maryland, Baltimore Campus) with a Bachelors of Art in Political Science and a graduate of Southern Baptist Theological Seminary with a Masters of Divinity in Campus and Youth Ministry. He is an ordained Baptist minister with a compassion to bringing his faith into action and teaching others to do the same. He is teaching Social Studies and Bible at FOA this year.
High School Science / Math
Mrs. Santiago joined FOA in 2018 as our high school Science and Spanish teacher. This year she is returning and will teaching Middle School and High School Science. She earned a Bachelor's Degree of Science in Chemistry and Biology, from the University of South Florida in 1997.She also obtained another Bachelor's of Art in Theology and a Master's Degree in Christian Counseling from Life Christian University in 2012. She has over 16 years of teaching experience in the Science Industry, at the University-level and in public schools. Mrs. Santiago has a passion for teaching science from a creation based viewpoint while implementing hands on activities and proper techniques in the laboratory.
Middle School & High School- Student Counselor / English
Dr. Elliot joined FOA in 2016. She began her career at FOA as the Middle School 6th grade teacher and served in that capacity for two years. She now teaches High School English and various electives.
She earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice from John Bay College in New York City. She also received a Master of Science Degree in Education and a Graduate Certificate in Counseling from Capella University in 2012. She has been teaching for over 15 years.
Dr. Elliot earned a Doctorate Degree in Christian Counseling and is a Minister of Christian Counseling. She will also be ordained as a Minister by the end of 2020. She currently serves as a Chaplain and ministers in hospitals and nursing homes alongside her husband.
Dr. Elliot recently completed her training to be a Certified Clinical Pastoral Counselor Doctoral Diplomate from Christian Counseling Professionals.
Mrs. Wilkie joined FOA in 2015. She works with middle and high school students in the ESE Dept., as well as teaching a variety of classes. Mrs. Wilkie received her Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and Social Work, as well as her Master's Degree in Teaching from the University of South Florida. She has previous teaching experience with second, fifth, and sixth grades.
