MIDDLE SCHOOL TEACHERS
Ms. Rodriguez
Middle School- English & Spanish, 9th Grade English
Ms. Rodriguez has taught at FOA since 2003. She began as our 5th grade teacher and has taught 4th – 12th grades, as well as being the co-director of our Christmas dramas and other programs. Ms. Rodriguez graduated from Lehman College with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a minor in Special Education. Ms. Rodriguez has been teaching students for over 26 years. Ms. Rodriguez will be teaching middle school English, middle school Spanish and 9th grade English this year.
Mr. Wong
Middle School - Science, 10th -12th Grade English
Mr. Wong joined FOA in 2023 as the Middle School science teacher and High School English teacher. He has a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism from San Diego State University.
Mr. Wong loves football and helping his students to be successful.
Mr. Short
Middle School/High School - Social Studies
Mr. Short joined FOA in 2021as the Middle School and High School Bible, Choir and Music Theory Teacher. He studied music at East Coast Bible College and earned his Bachelors of Science Degree in Bible and Christian Leadership from Trinity College.
He has worked as a Music and Christian Director for 39 years and is an Ordained Southern Baptist Minister. Mr. Short has a passion for teaching and helping students reach their potential spiritually and academically.
