MEET OUR STAFF
Mickey L. Walters
ADMINISTRATOR
Dr. Mickey L. Walters founded Faith Outreach Christian School in 1984. Dr. Walters attended Moody Bible College and graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Theology. She later received an honorary Doctorate of Divinity from IBI. She received her MA in Christian Counseling from Whitfield Theological Seminary in 1990 and also an MA in Pastoral Psychology and Counseling from Faith Theological Seminary. Dr. Walters is a member of the National Christian Counselors Association and is ordained with the National Christian Conservative Church and Faith Outreach Center.
Julie A. Sierra
PRINCIPAL
Mrs. Sierra has been working at FOA since 1996, the first four of these years as a fifth grade teacher and the remaining years as the principal. She attended Bowling Green State University in Ohio and received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. She later attended Faith Theological Seminary
and Christian College and received a Bachelor of Arts in Theology and a Master of Christian Education. She also teaches the middle and high school students when needed.
Tammie J. Miskiel
ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL FINANCIAL MANAGER
Mrs. Tammie J. Miskiel was born in Tampa, Florida. She is a graduate from Leto High School. She received her Bachelor of Christian Education Degree from Faith Theological Seminary & Christian College. Mrs. Miskiel has worked at Faith Outreach Academy since 2001 and currently is one of the Assistant Principals and Financial management.
Simuel Howard
ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL YOUTH PASTOR
Mr. Howard began teaching at FOA in 2010 working with the middle school and high school students teaching Math, Bible, Science, and Sign Language. Mr. Howard has two Bachelor's Degrees, one in Criminal Justice from USF as well as a Bachelor's of Christian Education Degree from Faith Theological Seminary and Christian College and a Master's in Theology. Mr. Howard is one of the Assistant Principals of Faith Outreach Academy.
Mr. Howard is also a Youth Pastor at Faith Outreach Center Church.
Dr. Awilda Elliot
ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL SCHOOL COUNSELOR
Dr. Elliot returned to FOA in 2024. She previously worked at FOA for seven years teaching both middle and high school students. Dr. Elliot has a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from John Jay College of Criminal Justice, and a Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Capella University. She has her doctorate in Christian Counseling from Christian Leadership University and an Addiction Counseling Graduate Certificate from Capella University. Dr. Elliot helps the high school students to get prepared for college.
Joselin "Ms. Joy" Brown
ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
Ms. Joy began working at FOA in 2014 in the P.E. department. She has a passion and great creativity for maintaining the school's various multi-media accounts and creating various school publications.
Telixa Rodriguez
ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
Mrs. Calderon joined the FOA team in 2015 as an Administrative Assistant. She has a great passion for helping others and loves serving the students and parents. She is the advisor to the seniors, helping them with various events and activities.

Brandon Walker
P.E.
Mr. Walker joined FOA in 2026 as our Physical Education Teacher. He brings 8 years of teaching experience in North Carolina public schools, where he worked with middle and high school students to promote fitness, lifelong wellness, and personal growth. He has a Master's Degree in Teaching with a concentration in Physical Education and Health, which has equipped him with the knowledge and skills to deliver high quality, research based instruction aligned with the National Physical Education Standards and Florida Benchmarks. He strives to help students develop physical literacy, lifelong healthy habits, and a love for movement.
Javon Lue
Basketball, Volleyball & Soccer
Coach
Mr. Lue joined FOA for the 2026-2027 school year as middle and high school Bible teacher. He also serves as the boy's basketball, soccer, and volleyball coach. Mr. Lue loves Jesus Christ deeply and desires to see His kingdom experienced on earth as it is in Heaven. He earned as Associate of Arts in Business from Hillsborough Community College, Associate degrees in Theology and Christian Humanities from Portland Bible College, a Bachelor of Theology from Portland Bible College, and a Master of Arts in Biblical Studies from Asbury Theological Seminary. With years of experience in ministry, education, and athletics at the middle school through college level, Mr. Lue is committed to helping students grow academically, spiritually, and personally. He is excited to be a part of and to serve the FOA community to see students live out Jesus through excellence in every area of their lives.
